Default Display problems with Microsoft apps

New customer using a port replicator with DisplayLink adapters. Sound, USB ports, network, and video are all functioning.

However, with Microsoft applications, I'm seeing some weird duplication of application title bar (almost like a 3D look) and a black band on the right. I'm attaching a picture.

This is running on a Macbook Air (mid 2013) with OSX 10.10.3. I'm using the DisplayLink 2.4 beta 2 driver.

This happens on Word, PowerPoint and Excel and only those.

Just plugged in the AOC monitor for the first time via my MBP 13r USB port and do not see a MS Word ribbon problem with MS Word for Mac 2011 version. I'm on the latest version of OS X.

Hi,

This is is known issue in OS X on virtual displays like DisplayLink's. We've been told it's connected to drawing shadows for Carbon applications.
Given the reported root cause I would not hold my breath waiting for a fix: Apple is clearly expecting everyone to move to Cocoa.

Best regards,
Carlo
