Default Black USB Monitor Screen on Windows 7 with NVIDIA driver

I just bought an ASUS MB169B+ display and connected via USB-3 to my HP Zbook G3 running windows 7 Pro- 64 bits. I have a Nvidia Quadro graphic card with the latest display driver and I have the latest displaylink driver (v8) installed.

The device and driver are detected and working according to the device manager, but the external screen stays black. I tried in all USB port same. The power light is white but no display in any port.

I cannot even see the monitor in the screen resolution setting panel.

I know a similar thread was posted some time ago and that DisplayLink acknowledged the issue and answered that this problem would be fixed on the next driver version v8.

I have this version and I still have a black screen.

Any thoughts please?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Mathieu,

Would you please be able to post the ZIP generated by our Customer Support Tool?
I linked to it in the last link of my signature. Only DisplayLink employees can download ZIP files posted on the forums.

Have you tried downgrading the nVidia driver to see if the behaviour changes?
Is the ASUS MB169B+ present in Device Manager without error?

Kind regards,
Alban
