Default Display Link HDMI audio

Hi,
Is HDMI Audio supported on Display link - DL6950 ?
My config is RS#2 15063 and with latest Display link available SW 8.2M3

Issue is audio is not played on HDMI TV is connected. I am not finding HDMI audio related setting in sound control panel

Please someone suggest to me configure it, if its possible

Hello,

Yes, the DisplayLink DL-6950 chip supports audio over HDMI, DisplayPort, analogue, and digital outputs.
Instead of confusing the users with 5+ outputs in the audio mapper, only one is added and audio routed to all. This also allows users to use an HDMI audio for an AV amplifier whilst using another output type simultaneously. This would not be possible with multiple entries in the audio mapper.

Some device manufacturer use headphone privacy which disable all other outputs when headphones are connected.

You will have an USB audio device in the audio settings. If you don't, there would be an issue with the audio device or device driver. Would you check?

Kind regards,
Alban
