MacBook with two external monitors
I am using a Diamond Multimedia docking station. Apple Multiport Adapter has USB, USB-C, and HDMI. I have HDMI going to one Dell monitor. I have USB going to docking station. From docking station, I have HDMI going to 2nd Dell monitor. If I just plug Macbook into adapter, I only get one screen. If I restart, I get two screens. Wondering why I have to restart to make this work.

This is the same setup I have at home, but I'm using the Anker USB 3.0 dual-display dock. For me, rebooting with the dock plugged in is actually hit or miss. My usual procedure is:
1. Boot 2. Wait until login screen (do not need to log in first) 3. Connect the Apple multiport adapter Has worked for me every time. |

Hi,
For these issues I'd recommend to open a bug at support.displaylink.com including the logs. The instructions are at http://support.displaylink.com/knowl...to-displaylink Usually the logs have good hints about issues happening during state transitions. Kind regards, Carlo |
