Aspect ratio is 4:3 on 16:9 screen using DVI-HDMI to my TV
I have a brand new 32in Toshiba TV (720p).
I tried connecting it to both my macbooks (one white, one pro) using the UV Plus 16 using a DVI->HDMI cable. The aspect ratio comes up as 4:3 when it should be 16:9. The screen looks mashed between two black boxes. The available resolutions are 1280x1024, 1024x768, etc. But it should be 1280x720. Both macbooks connect to my TV fine when connected straight to the TV using the DVI->HDMI cable. I can't seem to fix this. I tried third party mac software to modify the available resolutions but I couldnt figure it out. Whats wrong with it? Driver: 1.5b7 |

vga
I went out and bought a VGA cable and tried to hook it up using the DVI->VGA converter that came with the UV Plus.
It was able to get 1360x768 and looks good BUT then I tried playing a video and it was really laggy. When I use the DVI->HDMI there is NO lag but its stuck on 4:3 I can't win with this thing. |
