Default DisplayLink won't work on ubuntu 16.04

Hello everyone,

I just got a dell D3100 and I'm trying to use it with an also Dell 7559 running Ubuntu 16.04. I can install the drivers successfully provided here http://www.displaylink.com/downloads/ubuntu, but my screen won't be recognized and, therefore, won't turn on.

I attached the output of the support tool.

Any help with this? Right now I can connect all the other peripherals but not my screen.

Thanks in advance for any help,

Cheers

I see you are trying to use 4K and Ubuntu does have limitations on the maximum desktop size. See this article:

I wonder if this is the issue you are bumping into as you seem to have a 1080p display and an HDMI 4K display already connected.
