Default Can't update resolution

Hi,

I can't update the resolution for the screen connected to display link hub (Kensington SD4000), the resolution is 640x480 but should be 2560x1440.

I use Windows 10, I tested with another computer, I have the same behavior.

The screen is connected to the hub with HDMI. When the screen is directly connected in HDMI to the computer, it's working fine.

Can you provide support to be able to update the resolution ?

I added in attachment the debug files.

Thanks in advance
Regards

Hello Tibo,

The adapter is unable to read a valid mode list from the monitor. (No EDID).
Would you please be able to check with other cables, making sure cables/adapters are well secured?

Because the driver doesn't have any EDID, it doesn't know what modes to offer and defaults to something which usually works, instead of leaving you with a black screen.

Kind regards,
Alban

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I have the same issue with multiple hdmi cables...
When no edid found, it's possible to force the default resolution(s) to use?

Regards

Hello,
No, this is not a user accessible feature.
There are ways to hack into Windows registry to force new modes, however, I am unable to advise them as I have not tested your particular monitor and don't know why EDID is not available.
Kind regards,
Alban
