Default Beach ball at switch user login screen - Macbook Air 2011

Hi,

I have a 2011 Macbook Air with Lion version 10.7.2 installed. I also have the latest beta 4 version of the DisplayLink drivers.

If I enable fast user switching and switch to the login screen, without logging out of account, I get the spinning beach ball forever. I have to do a forced shutdown to regain control of the machine.

If I unplug the USB DisplayLink device beforehand, than I do not have any problems.

Default problem still exists with Beta 5, possibly worse

I've installed the latest beta (version 5) and the machine still hangs with the spinning beach ball when I switch to the login screen, using fast user switching.

Furthermore, the problem seems to be worse as the machine hangs, even if I unplug the USB DisplayLink device beforehand and let the machine auto-reconfigure the number of displays.

Again, I'm running on OS X v10.7.2 with a 2011 Macbook Air.

Thanks for your report. We have been able to replicate the issue (even if in a not deterministic way). We're going to investigate it.
