Default Display Link stops working when I add an HDMI cable

I had to reinstall Windows last week due to a network issue. I have an Acer laptop with Windows 10 and two external AOC monitors. Before the reinstall, everything was working well - display wise.

But now, if I have one of the AOCs connected to my laptop, only that monitor (plus the laptop display) functions. If I unplug the HDMI cable, the Display Link connected monitor works fine. I have installed the latest Windows 10 Display Link driver, but can't quite figure out where the problem is. Any ideas?

Hello Marty,

Could it be that the display is disabled in the Windows Display Panel?
If you right click on the desktop and select Display settings, can you send me a screenshot of the display layout?

Also, if you could attach the zip file created by the customer support tool in your reply, that would help me understand what is happening (when everything is plugged in as you want it to work, please). The last link in my forum signature shows how to use the tool. Only employees can download the attachment.

Kind regards,
Alban
