Default Problems with USB DH88

I recently purchased the USB DH88 Displaylink Adapter. Does the light immediately come on when it first plugged into the pc USB port? Mine blinked once and has remained off. My Toshiba Laptop recognizes the device. I have uploaded the latest drivers for the device and it reports it is working properly. When I checked the Hardware IDS it is giving me the code 8060. How can this be resolved besides returning the device to the vendor?

I'm sending the USB-DH88 back to the vendor. At least the software and drivers loaded up good.

PID8060 IS A HARDWARE FAILURE! The recovery method specified DID NOT WORK! I still got PID8060. I suspect one or more chips in the USB DH88 adapter went bad, the USB port on the device wasn't soldered or something else IN THE DEVICE FAILED! The software was not the problem. I have mailed the device back to Lexivon Tuesday July 23 for a replacement USB DH88. If that should fail also then I will request my money be refunded.
