Default Max Resolution on OS X 10.9.4 & DL 2.2

Hello,

for some reason the max resolution i can use on the monitors is 1600 x 1200.

the monitors are 1080p displays..

why is this?

Which are the device manufacturer and model are you using?

I had this problem too when using a DVI or HDMI cable with my display link product (The VGA cable using a DVI to VGA adaptor seems to work fine). If you option click on the "Scaled" radio button in display preferences where you select resolutions, it will show you additional resolutions and you can choose the correct 1080p resolution. For some reason it isn't autodetecting properly, but you can still force it in to the correct mode.
