5.4b1 freezes external display on Win7x64

I posted a response to the thread over in the 5.3 software forum before I realized that i was in the 5.3 forum...

this same issue is happening to me with 5.4b1 on my Win7x64 machine. i have tried two different brands of usb video adapters and both of them experience the freezing problem at least once a day.

i have tried multiple usb ports and multiple usb cables.

none of the other USB devices on my system have problems and I never see any other issues when the usb attached display freezes.

is there any progress on this issue? any known fixes?

monitor froze up again a minute ago, so i grabbed another dump from the debug tool. attached.
