Windows was not properly shut down
Plugable USB3-HDMI-DVI
Since installing the above on 05/07/13 Windows has crashed at least once every day with the error message that Windows was not properly shut down. On 07/07/13 this happened four times 1416, 1940, 1950 and 2217. In each case the times are random. I have installed the latest drivers ie 7.3MO (7.3.48949.0)and on 07/07/13 installed the updated Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller suite 1.0.8.251. Prior to installing the Pluggable drivers I had a perfect reliability and problem history with few exceptions. After using the 3rd display I turn off the third monitor. Can you help please? Attached is the Support Information ZIP Win 7SP1 64bit (up to date) Radeon HD 6670 (Driver 12.104) Last edited by dephead2004; 07-09-2013 at 09:14 PM. |

Hi,
Nothing obvious stands out from the logs. The crash dumps which were pre-installing the drivers tell me that various items on your PC have crashed in the past including the AMD graphics drivers and Hauppage software. For now can you try removing your adapter, uninstalling your DisplayLink software, downloading and running the cleaner tool from here http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=297, reinstall 7.3M0 from here http://www.displaylink.com/support/downloads.php and reconnect the adapter? Thanks, James |
