Default Blurry text and image

I've reinstalled my computer (Asus UX31A notebook) with a fresh windows 8.1 setup, and downloaded DisplayLink 7.7 beta to use with my Philips 231p4upes display.

The display seems to work but the image is totally blurry, especially when looking at text or straight line (excel).

I've tried a clean removal of the drivers and an install with DisplayLink 7.6M2 drivers but the problem remains.

What can I do?
Regards
Diogo

Check that the monitor is running in the preferred resolution, so the image is not being scaled. Also, if it is VGA, press the "Auto" button on the display to re-sync it.

Hi, I'm encountering exactly the same behavior on my external screen.
I ran the DL Support Tool. Please find the report attached.
Thanks for your help.
