Asus docking station with Asus Eee PC - ext monitor stripes
Hello,
I am trying to connect my external 22" HP screen to my new Asus Eee PC notebook through an Asus universal docking station. DisplayLink installation went OK. But when I connect docking station to the ASUS eee pc, the external screen displays the right picture (desktop), but on a totally bad resolution (image is stripped, and triplicated --> see picture enclosed). I tried all potential configurations with DL manager, but stll same prob. When I open Intel graphics panel to try to play with resolution, the ext screen displays gets perfectly right during some seconds when I touch a parameter & apply (16bits vs. 32b, center image vs. extend image etc...)... but after some seconds, the ext screen stands by. I though that the problem might come from the limited max resolution of the ASUs EEE PC display (1024x800) vs. ext monitor standard display (1280x1024) ? Note that the ext screen works 100% fine when directly connected to EEE PC through VGA. Thanks for your help !!! Alexis. |

Can you make sure you have the latest graphics driver installed for your primary graphics card.
This might solve the issue. Wim |

Yes, graphic drivers are up to date, but problem is still there.
Any other idea? |

Can you post the log files as described here:
http://kb.displaylink.com/269 I want to see what resolutions the screens think they are in. Also, from the screenshot, it looks like you are in mirror mode. Do you get the same problem in extend? It looks like the monitor doesn't support the video timings that are being outputted by the adapter, so in extend mode, it might be able to do the preferred resolution of the HP screen. Wim |
