Lightbulb Suggestion: Open Source the Mac Drivers

It seems DisplayLink is pretty busy but not able to quickly resolve this Macbook lid sleep issue among others (the biggest issue in my opinion). I suggest DisplayLink make the drivers open source so those of us that have the capability to fix the code can help improve the turnaround time for issues. I imagine DL has a reference design that is licensed by all the vendors making the devices, so I can't see why there would be a problem with opening up the source code to the community. It's not as if the drivers are being sold. I think this would really help a lot. I'll be posting my crash logs in another thread.
