Hi,

Please try this:

1. Navigate to C:\WINDOWS\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\
2. Find the directory that begins with displaylinkusb.inf_amd64_64
3. Open this directory
4. Locate and right click on displaylinkusb.inf
5. Select "Install"

Let me know how you get on.

Thanks,
James

Hi James,

Perhaps that's where the problem lies. I don't have a directory or a filename like that.

Hi,

It could be that anti-virus program, firewall or backup program is preventing the install of the DisplayLink software.

Suggestions:
1. Check that your user account has Administrator rights, if not, add them and try installing again
2. Right click on the DisplayLink Setup.exe and select "Run as administrator"
3. Turn off anti-virus software & firewall, install DisplayLink software and then re-enable anti-virus software & firewall
4. Navigate to the Temp directory (type in %temp% on the Metro screen) and check for any instances of DL2.tmp or DL3.tmp and delete them then try installing again.

Thanks,
James
