Default Dell D3100 and MacOS 14: screen not detected

Hi,

As per title the dock is correctly recognised and it actually passes through several USB devices (keyboard, mouse and webcam) which all work correctly, but my monitor is not being detected and there is no signal, no matter what, coming from my Macbook M2 Ultra.

I tried to install different DisplayLink versions to no avail. The problem happened when I upgraded to Sonoma and I stopped the screen sharing (by clicking on the bar icon). I tried to re-enable the screen sharing but the monitor is still not detected by the screen sharing app. The monitor is a recent Dell 27" 60Hz display.

The same exact hardware setup works perfectly for my Windows/Linux machine.

Thank you for all the help.

Verifying the compatibility of your monitor with your Macbook M2 Ultra and ensuring that all necessary drivers or firmware updates are installed.
