Thumbs down 2.4b1 blacksreens on Mac 10.10.2

I have MacBook Pro late 2010 with Yosemite OS 10.10.2 (latest updates applied). My second screen went black after update to 2.4b1 today. I had to roll back to 2.3 to make it work again. I am attaching my diagnostic info collected by the log tool.

Hi demisx,

We can confirm this is a regression in the latest driver. We'll endeavour to fix this before the next refresh.
Thank you very much for raising this bug with all the needed information!

Regards,
Carlo

When might we expect a correction for this?

I also have a black screen (display stays in sleep mode) with the current beta driver.

A black screen for a displaylink product seems like a big deal, no?

10.10.2

Related note: When the DisplayLink installer offers to Restart the Mac at the end of the install process, the Mac screen goes to black with just the mouse pointer visible, then just sits there forever. I have to use the power button to force the Mac to shut off, then power up again. Happens with both 2.4b1 and 2.3 drivers, during both driver uninstall and install.
