Win8, problem after standby and wake-up
Hi there
I'm having an issue with DisplayLink in Combination with the Targus USB 3.0 Superspeed multimonitor adapter. I have 2 external monitors connected via DVI to my Dell Precision Laptop and a third monitor connected via DisplayLink (Targus connected on a USB3-Hub) and VGA. After waking-up my laptop from standby, Windows switches back to the internal monitor which wouldn't be much of a problem. But: on the internal monitor the systems is veeeery slow and works very laggy. When I switch the display option (shortcut Win+P) to "only external" Windows goes back to my three external monitors and works fine again. Any solutions? Log files would help here, as it is probably dependent on the system. System details and OS would be a start.

Hi,
Can you try changing the NVIDIA Driver Helper Service (nvsvc.exe) to startup: manual to help diagnose this issue? To do this search (on your system) for "Computer management", double click on "Services and Applications", double click on "Services", double click on Nvidia Driver Helper Service, select Startup Type and set to "Manual". After this try a reboot and see if the issue persists. Thanks, James |
