Default Scaling with 4k Display

Dear all

I've a Dell USB 3.0 D3100 docking station and a 4k Samsung U28E590D Display.
The dock is connected to a Macbook pro Retina early 2012. Everything is working, the only thing what doesn't work is the scaling in OS X for the 4k Display.

Is there a workaround to activate this scaling?

I've attached a print screen with the menu for the internal and external display.

Thank you very much.

regards
Cyrill

Hi Cyrill,

The "Scaled" interface is inconsistent between different Mac models and OS versions, even for the same monitor. We have a bug open with Apple about that.
You can see more resolutions by keeping "option" pressed while you select the Scaled option.
Is there any specific resolution you'd like to use?

Regards,
Carlo

Hi Carlo

Unfortunately, my preferred resolution is not available in the extended scaled option. I'd like to use 3200 x 1800.

I've forgot to mentioned that it works with hdmi.

Thanks for your response, let's hope that apple will fix this issue soon.
