I have disabled all virus program and ran the setup file as Administrator and I am still getting the same error message. I have tried vs 7.4 M4, 7.5 M1, 7.5 M2, 7.6 M0, and Kensington driver. They all give me the same error.

Hi,

Two things to check:

You have a user account on the computer with an Administrator account type.

In the registry, the Administrators group has "Full Control" permissions on the DisplayLinkGA sub-key. To check this select Run, enter regedit.exe, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\servic es\DisplayLinkGA and right click on the "DisplayLinkGA" and if present "Device1" keys. For both of these keys select "Permissions" from the resulting menu, select the "Administrators" group and make sure "Full Control" is allowed.

Thanks,
James
