Installing DisplayLink Software in Win7 32-bit

I'm having difficulty installing the new version of DisplayLink software. Everything was working fine until the new release came out. I tried automatically updating it, but it didn't take. So I uninstalled everything and tried reinstalling it without luck. It won't even get past the "Windows Installer is preparing to install..." window.

Any ideas?

Hi ntrinh03,

Please download the Windows DisplayLink debug tool from this website, then gather the system information and upload the zip file to this thread. (delete memory.dmp file if the zip file is too large to upload). This would give us more information as to what might be wrong.

Had the same troubles while i have tested several versions of driver.

Here is a solution:

Uninstall everything from control panel -> software
Download DisplayLink Cleaner from here
And run it with admin privilegs (right mouse button -> run as admin)

it cleans all bad driver installations and you are ready to install a new one

worked for me!
