hi all,
I just installed a UGA-2K-A on Windows7 64 bit ultimate, through a USB3.0 port and hooked to the HDMI (no VGA) on DisplayLink and apparently, on this extra monitor (a viewsonic 24"), items (buttons, ribbons, etc) or background areas of the screen that would otherwise look gray actually look WHITE...not sure what's going on.
My computer is a DELL Precision 650 workstation laptop with a 1920x1080 resolution.
VideoCard is an AMD (ATI) FirePro M8900 (FireGL) Mobility Pro Graphics with 2gb RAM.

any thoughts on what makes all windows/objects have a WHITE background, regardless on how they look on the main laptop monitor?

thanks much,
Cosmin

There is no color correction happening here, so it could be the settings on the monitor that makes the parts of the screen look lighter.

I meant to say that the display is a lot brighter (not whiter).... no color correction, but the screen looks excessively bright when connected through displaylink, but looks normal when connected to the vGA or DVI ports, without the displayLink device. It seems that the brightness issue has been reported by others as well.

Any thoughts?
thx much,
Cosmin
