I've uninstalled and reinstalled several dozen times now. It goes through the core installation, then proceeds to the next section, looks like it starts installing and then the window just goes away and it will not recognize the displaylink device. I already sent back one piece of hardware for a similar issue thinking it was the hardware and not the software, but now I realize it's the software. I'm including the logs from the support tool.
I got the same result each time. It looks like as it goes to install the actual displaydriver is when it dies. No warning, no install complete, says 5 seconds remaining and then just blips off.
I've installed a ton of these things before and never had an issue, but right now, man I am angry and frustrated.
Hi
There is no install log for DisplayLink in the log file. Can you follow this article (http://kb.displaylink.com/270)to get the installer logging?
Thanks
Wim

I still can't see an install log? There should be some new MSI*.log files in the zip, that will contain the string "DisplayLink"
However its interesting that you are using a Warpia device, as this is DisplayLink software packaged (I think) in an installer from the Wireless USB vendors. Are you trying to install the Warpia software or the DisplayLink software from our website?
Thanks
Wim

The software does the same thing with the Warpia install, that's why I went to the standalone on this site, as to try to diagnose WTF is going on.
That's weird, it's everything that was generated by the log grabber.
What am I exactly looking for it to do?
HI
Just one thing to try, could you try uninstalling the LogMeIn driver and see if this allows DisplayLink software to install? I wonder if there is a conflict here.
Thanks
Wim

Tried that, as well as removing eSet as well, same results. I've upgraded the video drivers to the latest from AMD. Same result. Install goes, and then quits without notice when it goes to install the actual displaylink drivers.

Any other ideas? Today's the day I pack it up and send it back unless I hear otherwise. I gotta find a wired solution or something for it now. I'm not blaming you guys at all, I've had pretty good luck with DL based stuff across the board, until now. Frustrating.

Same thing. A year later. Different machine, another Warpia device. Windows 7. Same deal. Installer quits when it gets to the graphics adapter. Any news on this?

For the heck of it, I went to install it on my Laptop. I removed Eset first, thinking that may be the issue and still ran into the same thing. DisplayLink Graphics gets about 75% of the install meter and then just quits. I think its a Dell thing, but I can't figure out what else might be causing it. This one has Intel graphics. On the machine I referenced in my last post, it was also a Dell, with a Radeon 7240 card. I removed the card and used the onboard Intel graphics and the same thing happened. I also tested another machine that we got in with the same stats as the one I last mentioned, and again same thing. There's something on these new Dells thats preventing DisplayLink from installing. Anyone out there have any similar issues? This is driving me and my customers nuts.
