When trying to install DisplayLink-7.0M2.exe I get the ERROR:
'The VBScript engine is disabled therefore installation cannot continue. Please enable VBScript engine before installation.'
_______________
I've tried the Microsoft FixIt from http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9648765
I've tried registering using regsvr32 \windows\system32\vbscript.dll (from an elevated command prompt) returns: DllRegisterServer in vbscript.dll succeeded.
The version of WSH is 5.8 according to CScript:
C:\Windows\system32>Cscript
Microsoft (R) Windows Script Host Version 5.8
I've turned off the Norton Anti Virus and Firewall (permanently)
I've tried removing the registry keys suggested here( which didn't exist ); http://blogs.msdn.com/b/heaths/archive/2007/05/31/windows-installer-errors-2738-and-2739-with-script-custom-actions.aspx
Also the keys suggested here ( which also didn't exist ); http://www.ehow.com/how_8392805_enable-script-host-windows-7.html
I've updated my USB 3.0 Drivers as suggest by your support tool. (successfully)
Now everything in the support tool is a PASS - for the compatibility check.
Attached is the information from the support tool.
Please help, otherwise I may need to look elsewhere!
