Hi,

Sorry if this has been posted before but I couldn't find anything

I've just installed the Displaylink USB2.0 adapter using the software from the website on a Dell Optiplex 755 using Windows XP with 3 Gbs of Ram and just the onboard graphics chipset and while the install worked and I was able to use the second screen without issue for a day. But on restarting the machine today it is hanging in the start up after the Windows XP loading screen blanks and I can't get access to the machine.

I can't post any logs off the machine as I can't start it and am using another machine instead.

Any help on this would be great

Thanks

Hi,

I'll need the logs to investigate further.

Do you have Service Pack 3 installed?

When you do use this machine again, try running through the steps in this troubleshooting guide - http://www.displaylink.org/forum/showthread.php?t=896

Thanks,
James

We do have service pack 3 installed, however we had it on another PC and we ended up having to use the Last Good Config rollback to get the PC to boot, disabling it in MSConfig couldn't stop the issue from happening.

I'll try and get the remaining PC to load so I can get the logs

Thanks
