I am running DisplayLink 7.3 on an Asus Taichi 21 with Windows 8, connected to an external VGA display via a Asus HZ-1 USB3.0 docking station. I set DisplayLink to only use the external display.
Whenever I resume running the laptop from sleep, the external screen is blank and I also have difficulties getting the laptop screen back.
I have to disconnect the laptop from the docking station before I can regain control of the laptop.

By the way, here is the zip file I created using the DisplayLink debug tool after encountering the problem.

Hi,
Can you upgrade your graphics driver to the latest version available from Intel?
Thanks,
James

Hi,
Just to be sure I understand what you are referring to when talking about "the graphics driver to the latest version available from Intel", in my particular case of the Taichi 21 would I be downloading the "Intel INF Update Driver" found at https://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/ASUS_TAICHI_21/#support_Download_36 , under Chipset?
Thank you,
Ugo

Hi,
I'd recommend picking up the very latest from the Intel website:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/default.aspx
Alternatively run the Intel Driver Update Utility:
http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect?iid=dc_iduu
Thanks,
James

The taichi21 cannot use the latest Intel Driver from the Intel site.
If we use it, our tablet mode no longer works.

I am reposting this here. Trying to get it out as much as possible.
This is what I received from ASUS Support.
"I just got a reply , and for the TAICHI21, it does not support any dock station, it means there is a compatibility issue between the TAICHi21 and the HZ-1 dock, so it is not only a driver issue. You had better not connect the dock to the TAICHI21 for usage. And our engineer won't develop any new driver for this issue. Sorry if any inconvenience this case.

as a note the "HZ-1" uses the DisplayLink driver just like all the docks out there.
