Hey!

I have recently bought the i-tec USB 3.0 Display Adapter due to very positive feedback on Amazon. Unfortunately I have experienced some problems and according to the manual, the DisplayLink Team might help me.

I have already tried the trouble shooting guide you offer on the forum, so far without finding a solution to my problem:

I am using an ASUS All-in-One-PC (Win8): http://www.asus.com/de/AllinOne_PCs/ET2701INTI/

As far as my problem is concerned, the connection seems to work fine. I am using the "extend mode" on my second screen. Videos etc. play without any problems. Unfortunately the mouse (I am using a RAZOR mouse) freezes/becomes stuck from time to time while using the second screen. Still it works perfectly fine on my main screen (= the AIO screen).

Attached you will find the report I have created according to the software tool you offer.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi,

Is the mouse wired or wireless?

Thanks,
James

Hi!

My mouse offers both modes. At the moment I use the wired mode.
I also tried another wired mouse from a different manufacturer, nevertheless the cursor froze/got stuck on my second display.

Hi,

Can you try the latest Intel graphics driver from this location:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=22842&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows%208%2C%2064-bit*&DownloadType=Drivers

Thanks,
James

Thank you for the tip. I downloaded the drivers (afterwards I reinstalled the display link software). Unfortunately it didn't solve my problem so far. Can you think of any other possible reasons? Do you think the adapter has any compatibility issues or is malfunctioning in a certain way?

Thanks again for your help in advance.

Hi,

Does the mouse freezing issue occur randomly or are a specific event?
When it happens is anything running on the extended display?

Can you try enabling the High performance power plan in Control Panel | Power options to see if that helps?

Thanks,
James
