Hello,

We have 60 of the Targus USB docks ACP076 set up in school classrooms which the teachers use their Windows laptops (Win 7 SP1 x86) to connect to, to duplicate their display to a projector.

Each time the teachers change classrooms Windows forgets their display settings as Duplicate and changes it to Extend.

Is there any way to force this to clone?

It doesn't forget the setting. The default behaviour when it sees a new display ID is to extend the display rather than clone. It should be easy to set up clone by using the Windows Key + P.

Once the display has been set to clone for that projector, Windows should remember the setting the next time it connects to that projector.

Thanks for your response Wim. We have noticed when the laptop is set to clone, then the staff member moves to another classroom with the same model dock, it forgets the setting and sets it back to Extend.
