Win 8.1 and ext hard drive on toshiba dynadock

Hi .

all working well on win 8. updated to 8.1 pre installed latest drivers . however ext hard drive on usb 2 or 3 occasionally toggles off and on again and eventually usb device malfunction comes up. all other dynadock functionality working fine. installed, cleaned and re-installed. same problem. On Acer m series mulitouch

any help please ?

This sounds like a USB issue and outside DisplayLink. However there is a firmware update for the USB 3.0 VIA hub in the dynadock to upgrade it to version 9.82. Look for "Firmware Upgrade" under "Drivers and Upgrades". I know this did help improve compatibility with the USB 3.0 hub and Windows 8.
