This thread is in regards to the document: CorpInstallUsersGuide.pdf
http://www.displaylink.com/corporateinstall/CorpInstallUsersGuide.pdf

I have read the steps in points 4.2 and 4.3 and would like to make a suggestion as the steps in the document include targeting separate GPO's with WMI queries - this is not necessary and is slower than using the Group Policy Deployment method of evaluating installations.

My recommended steps are:
Create a new Group Policy Object (GPO) in the Group Policy Management Console (GPMC)
a. In this guide, we’ll be calling it 'DisplayLink Device Driver Deployment'.
b. You may wish to call it something else, particularly if you’re only interested in deploying the
DisplayLink driver, and not extra drivers, such as Ethernet.
2. Put all 4 MSI files onto a network file share, in their respective folders (Win32/Win64).
3. Edit the GPO you just created, and go to:
Computer Configuration > Policies > Software Settings > Software installation
4. Right click > New > Package...
a. Add DisplayLinkCore.msi for 32bit. Select Advanced and click ok.
b. On General Tab, change the name by appending ' - 32Bit' to the end of it.
c. On the Deployment tab, click Advanced. UNTICK the checkbox 'Make this 32-bit X86 application available to Win64 machines. Click ok.
d. Repeat same process for setup.msi 32Bit version. (change name of package, and untick checkbox mentioned in step C)
e. Add DisplayLinkCore.msi for 64bit. Select Advanced and click ok.
f. On General Tab, change the name by appending ' - 64Bit' to the end of it. Click Ok.
g. Repeat steps for setup.msi 64Bit version.

The benefits of my solution:
- No WMI filters required
- One GPO for both Installs
- supports both versions of Windows

Lastly, the document is correct in saying there is a specific order in which you must add your MSI packages. Officially there is no way to change this order. Unofficially there is a little (free but hard to find as the official website has been down for years) program called Assigned Software Sequence Manager that lets you do this.
