FWIW, I did perform a search to see if this had been mentioned before and didn't find any results.
This morning I right-clicked on the DisplayLink Manager task tray icon and selected "Check for update" and, since there was one available, the DisplayLinkUpdate.exe task ran. It ran full-screen on my primary display even overlaying the taskbar and prevented the subsequent installation window from automatically running in the foreground. I wouldn't have known it was prompting me to continue with the install had I not been using alt+tab to check on Outlook.
The subsequent installation task ran in a smaller window and completed without any issue.
Hope this makes sense. Just wanted to notify someone that this happened to me.
I am running Windows 7 Enterprise (x64) with all available updates already applied on a Lenovo T500 w/ an AMD Mobility Radeon HD 3650 as the primary GPU.
Please let me know if you require any further info from me.
