View Full Version : Displaylink not working, Blank after restart.

Hi Everyone,

Hope Christmas Season is treating everyone well.

I have a Lenovo LT1421 USB Monitor. I use it both for work (Lenovo Y560) and at home (Thinkpad T420s).

The USB monitor utilizes Displaylink Software and it is up-to-date. I am on Windows 7 64

The USB Monitor will work fine at the beginning, but after few days of use, the USB Monitor will fail to recognize after a restart and demonstrate the following behavior:

1. At Windows Login Screen, the resolution will be fixed at 800 x 600
2. After login, the main screen resolution will be reverted to native
3. USB Monitor will be on, but blank.

It is worth noting that both Laptop will fail this way.

Uninstalling and Reinstalling the driver will only have Temporary Effect. i.e. the USB screen will work in this session, and revert to blank state after restart.
I have all drivers updated and have searched multiple forums for solution but unable to find one. If anyone can shed some light that would be much appreciated.
