View Full Version : Active touch spots on non-touch monitors

I have a Dell 15Z Touchscreen Ultrabook connected to the Targus 3.0 Dock with two Dell S2440L 24" monitors. When I'm docked, I have the laptop closed and placed inside the keyboard drawer with my dock.

The display settings show my Dell monitors as #1 and #2, with my laptop display off. The problem is two Touch Gesture spots show on monitor #1 and if any user interface is under one of these spots the button/field is activated like it was touched.

If I open the lid of my laptop, the laptop display remains off and the spots disappear from monitor #1 and everything works fine.

Any thoughts on disabling Touch when the lid is closed would be appreciated. I have combed through the Control Panel looking for settings, but cannot find anything regarding inactivating Touch when the laptop display is closed and inactive.

Thanks,
YYZ

Hi,

Another user with this issue suggested installing the cyprus track pad driver and disabling the track pad when an external USB mouse is detected.

Thanks,
James
