View Full Version : AOC e1649fwu flashes on and off like mad
My AOC e1649fwu monitor flashes on and off like mad alternatively with my laptop screen.
I just bought a new laptop a HP probook 470 g1 have updated it to the latest graphics drivers but the problem persists. I also installed the lastest displaylink software as well as the software on the cd that came with the monitor caused the laptop to have a blue screen of death. I made sure I unstalled all previous software before using the latest.
Any ideas?

Hi,
Can you attach the output of this tool?

Thanks,

I went to link which said I had to Download the Windows DisplayLink debug tool.
But I'm unsure how to run the file displaylink
Well I guess when buying a new laptop there was always going to be 1001 updates from microsoft and it was one of them (graphics) that cured my problem.
Anyway thanks for your assistance.
Well it's been working brilliantly all day until I had to install some software to do with development of a credit card terminal.
So I'm back needing help how to run the file displaylink as mentioned in one of my previous post.
Displaylink logs zip file attached

Hi,
Thanks for the support tool output.
Did the windows updates sort out the BSOD and flickering issues?
What is the current issue you are facing?
Thanks,
James

See the subject.
Got a new laptop for work and my extended display and laptop both flash off and on within 15-30 after plugging in the stand alone monitor. Here is the log file if anyone can help. Any help is appreciated because I just bought this monitor a couple of months ago to take when I travel for work.
Sincerely,
Chad

Hi,
Can you install the latest USB host controller driver from Intel?
You can find it here:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=22824&lang=eng&ProdId=3467
It's also worth installing the latest Intel graphics driver for your notebook which you can find here:

Thanks,
James

I'm having the same problem. The monitor works for a few minutes then flickers on and off as though it may not be drawing enough power or something else.
