Dell XPS 13 + d3000 unstable

Hi I just purchased the two of these recently and cannot get them to work together for more that a few second before it starts to flash 1 display, then 2, then 1 every few seconds. It recognise the display ok until it disappears and a good picture is shown intermittently. The same seem to happen the wired Ethernet.
I'm running 8.1. I've tried the cleaning tool and reinstall of 7.5M2 a few times without success.
I'm using the right hand USB port as i get nothing at all on the other.
I've uploaded a debug file captured using the support tool.
Not sure what to do next?

Well I got it working so far today for the first time. Only difference i can see is that I didn't use Actual Multiple Monitors today. I had installed it initially as it was on the Displaylink site. Am afraid to touch anything now but system works well once it up.
