Help! Win 8.1 Flashing Screen

Hi Guys,

So Ive read on other posts that a flashing screen my be a result of low power via the USB port.

Now my Lilliput 7" monitor (non touch) worked fine with Windows 7 and my previous motherboard.


I just upgraded my PC with a new motherboard (ASRock Z97 Pro4).
Installed Win 8.1 64-bit
I've downloaded the latest Display Link Driver and installed it.
I went through the Windows Troubleshoot post pinned to this forum and everything was as it should be.
I tried several different USB ports


However, the screen keeps flashing. Is there ANYTHING that can be done to correct this? I dont think I can just add power to a USB port. Could it be another issue?

Can you try connecting your monitor to an external mains powered USB hub?

I do not have one to try this....My motherboard is brand new ASRock Z97 Pro4

I would hope that this would have enough power to supply this little monitor.

I also have a 850W power supply as well.
