A couple of days ago i bought a new Targus ACP70EU USB 3.0 dual video docking station with DisplayLink controller. I use it for a music computer.

I connect the (touch)screen to the DVI port, but i don't use the HDMI port.

Windows detects the USB 2.0 and 3.0 HUB, but not the DisplayLink controller.

When i shut down my PC and remove the AC/DC power adapter from the dock, connect the HDMI port (to my TV), connect the power adapter again and reboot the laptop windows detects the displaylink controller and everything works fine. I also can disconnect the HDMI cable. When i do not disconnect the power to the docking station it works fine, even after several boots from windows.

But when i disconnect the power to the dock for a couple of minutes the whole problem is back again. And this is very unusable for a portable music computer. Can anybody help me? Thank you!

This is similar to a problem seen with some older ACP70, but not quite the same. I am curious however if maybe an older unit made it into new suppliers stock. What is the Item number shown by the model number on the bottom of the dock?
