Display link Monitor no longer runs screen saver on yosemite

Under Yosemite, when it is time for my screen saver (pictures) to kick in, it will just stay as loading pictures. My MBP and DisplayPort monitors work just fine. This used to work on Mavericks. I have tried it with driver 2.2 and also 2.3 Beta. Same result. Any ideas?

The display link monitor is black with the message "loading pictures". Other monitors work fine and this worked fine under Mavericks
