DDC/CI support broken?

DisplayLink added support for this a few versions ago according to the changelogs but I tried using ScreenBright and it says no compatible monitors detected. Directly connecting my monitor (Dell U2412M) allows me to use ScreeBright fine. Using the latest version of DisplayLink (7.7). Can any DisplayLink employees help clear up this issue?

DDC/CI is supported on the DL-1x5 products. It is not currently available on the DL-3xxx (USB 3) products. We don't have any plans to enable this on other products at the moment.

I would definitely like to request this feature. It's become important now for photo editing applications as well as reducing blue light at night which would otherwise be bad for circadian rhythm (a la f.lux).
