All,
Is there any displaylink 3rd party docking station/port replicator solution that actually works with the surface pro 3? I am simply looking to set up dual external displays with maximum resolution. I cannot use the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 docking station due to the heavy-duty case I have on the SP3 (UAG) and looking for an alternative solution.
Can anyone please recommend a 3rd party docking station/port replicator solution and specific type of external monitor that will work with a surface pro 3 with UAG case?
I have looked at docking stations from Pluggable, Targus, Belkin, and others. Everyone seems to be having blank/black screen issues and required rebooting/system restores when trying to set it up in this manner. Has anyone gotten anything to work flawlessly?
Microsoft suggested that I remove my case every time I use the Microsoft docking station but that is not a viable solution as the whole point is to have portability and "pc replacement" functionality. I am probably not the only person trying to set up this type of configuration so figured someone might have an answer.
Thanks.
