USB 2.0 to HDMI Converter - no volume

I have just installed a USB 2.0 to HDMI Converter to connect my PC (Vista x64, DisplayLink software version 5.6) to my TV. The video is fine, but no volume. Can anyone help please?

I can't recall how you get to the settings for Vista. There should be a dialogue box somewhere for controlling playback devices, and hopefully has a 'test' option. It's possible that you just don't have the USB device configured as the playback device - I'm not sure if Microsoft had this configured as the default back then.

The DisplayLink GUI Icon in the system tray has a shortcut to the audio settings if you right click on it.
