Dell D3000 Only partially functioning after upgrade to windows 8.1

Hello!

Short time lurker, first time poster, so please excuse any missteps on my part.

I have a dell XPS 15 L521X from mid 2012 with a D3000 displaylink adapter. Everything was working fine until windows forced an upgrade from windows 8 to windows 8.1.

After this update the HDMI out and Ethernet ports on the displaylink adapter ceased to work. The USB ports still work, but if I plug in an Ethernet cable I get no signal to the laptop, and the monitor doesn't seem to recognize any input signal.


I have reinstalled the newest displaylink driver to no avail.

Any help is much appreciated.
