Hello,
I know there are some topics of problems with Windows 10 and not working DisplayLink. But I tried what I found here and no luck :-(

I have I-Tec USB Display Adapter USB 2.0. On Windows 10 it works fine until yeastarday when I installed some Windows 10 update 1511. After that a cannot make it alive. I used suggestions on page of Windows 10 known issues, recomendet new driver for DisplayLink and my Graphic card, update all SW and OS and still nothing.

When I installed new driver for DislpayLink no tray icon appear in bar but in TaskManager I can see proces about DisplayLink - if I kill that, it's re-run again. But if I run from Program File no window or tray icon appear.

I don't know what I am doing wrong. Please, can you help me if I some missed :-(

My computer is HP TouchSmart 600 with USB 2.0

Thank you very much for answer and help,
Pejpr

Hello Pejpr,

That was a major Windows update, similar to what was used to be called a "service pack". It may have corrupted your installation.

Please try the end user cleaner (http://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/724494-cannot-upgrade-or-uninstall-displaylink-software) and a fresh install.
As graphics drivers are used during Windows startup, you must reboot after the removal and once again after the fresh install for your drivers to work correctly.
If this doesn't solve it, the next step will be looking at the log files.

Kind regards,
Alban

Thank you for reply.

Yestarday I was used this tool (as admin) and made fresh install - restarted PC after all actions :-(

Where are logs stored? I will put it here for you ;)

Thank you

Hello again,

so for sure I've done the steps that you recommended me again: uninstall via tool, restart, install new driver 7.9M3 and while installation when I have to connect DisplayLink I heard twice sound of adding new device and I saw quick blink tray icon (appear and immediately disappear) than in Finishing point of installation wizard I heard sound of disconnecting of device. I restared again after installation and no tray icon and no another monitor in list :-(

I suppose you need some logs from me, right? I found some folder in C:\Program Files\DisplayLink Core Software\Debug - there are logs what you need?

Thank you for reply and your helping :-)

Problem was PID = 8060. This shows an adapter issue. Check the Product ID of the DisplayLink device (http://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/544834-my-displaylink-device-does-not-work-at-all-or-i-g#pid)
