UGA-4KDP issues

I have the UGA-4KDP and I am using it to connect my laptop which only has an HDMI port to a 4K monitor which only has a display port. My laptop recognizes the UGA-4KDP adapter just fine and it looks like my monitor is recognized fine as well (it is displayed correctly in the display settings). However, my monitor acts like it is not getting a signal and displays nothing.

I use the monitor with a desktop computer regularly and it works fine.

Any ideas for what I can do to troubleshoot this?

I apparently didn't search hard enough before posting. This thread answers my question:

The monitor I am using apparently doesn't like running at 30hz and you have to change the refresh rate to 24hz for it to work.
