I'm sure we are all familiar with the sneaky Windows 10 force install as a Windows update. I was able to recover back my Windows 7 OS but the only thing that stopped working is DisplayLink. Device manager gives me an error and I have tried uninstalling the driver and re-plugging it but same problem.

I have downloaded the latest M7 driver but getting an error when it uninstalls the older driver:

"The older version of DisplayLink Core Software cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group."

Thank you.

Unfortunately, the downgrading process is not very clean and your installation is corrupted.

Would you please be able to try using our End User Cleaner to remove the corrupted installation and start a new fresh install?

I just had the same issue, downgraded from Win 10 to Win 7 and I cannot uninstall Displaylink. I have tried to use the End User Cleaner tool several times and it still shows up in Add/Remove programs. Please help!

Nerdz - I found this article and by following the steps I was able to remove / uninstall the DisplayLink software. http://www.smartpctricks.com/2013/09/solved-the-feature-that-you-are-trying-to-use-is-on-a-network-resource-that-is-unavailable-java.html

If it's still in add/remove program, then you probably didn't "Run as administrator..."
Or there is an issue with the cleaner. I put another cleaner available for you to try
