2016 Macbook Air Monitor not working

I just purchased the Kanex mLinq USB to HDMI adapter. I loaded the software on my mac and the program said it was installed. I rebooted my system.

I currently have use of my laptop monitor and my tv monitor that is connected to the lightning port.

I connected my Kanex adapter to a different tv monitor and I can not get my system preferences to see the 3rd TV via the kana usb adapter.

Any help is great!
