displaylink not showing in device manager and not working afer update

After an update from microsoft last night my displaylink is no longer working. I backed out the 8/31 microsoft update but the displaylink is still not working. I checked to make sure I have the latest 8.0 displaylink software. attached is the gather info tool results.

Hello Brady guy,

There is no hardware reported connected by Windows.
What device reference from which manufacturer are you using? Was it connected to the computer when the logs were gathered?
This won't be a DisplayLink driver issue: Windows doesn't see any hardware, so Windows doesn't look for any driver to assign to it.

I finally saw in another post to unplug all the cables and start over. This seemed to do the trick.
