I have issues with the DisplayLink Driver.
This concerning a Asus laptop with two built in videocards, NVIDIA Geforce GTX 950M and Intel HD Graphics 4600, Windows 7 Professional 64-bit installed.

Problem only occurs when laptop runs on battery, on AC power it works just fine.

Problem disappears completely when DisplayLink Drivers are removed. Problem comes back after reinstalling the DisplayLink driver.

It doesn't matter if the external usb 3.0 monitor is connected or not. The installed drivers for the DisplayLink are simply the cause, that.. I am very sure of.

The system freezes in an unusual way, no Blue Screen or any error message to take note of. Freezing occurs after several minutes of usage. Freezing occurs randomly but can also be triggered by starting Call of Duty 4.

Again, problem is solved by removing the driver or keeping the laptop on AC power. I'm an IT student, so daily installing and removing the driver just to be able to use the external usb 3.0 monitor at home would be a pain. Running on battery with the drivers installed and the monitor disconnected tends to randomly freeze my system after some minutes. This has nothing to do with high intensive or low intensive tasks. Temperatures are also checked and stable.

It would be nice if I could toggle off the drivers from startup so that I could enable the drivers when I am ready to use the usb 3.0 screen when connected to the AC. Any thoughts or solutions would be appreciated.
